read more Washington State has a 'budget-based' property tax system, so the taxing districts budgets and voter approved measures determine how much you pay. In 2010, 33 of the 44 taxing district requests to voters for funding was passed by voters. The decrease in total residential assessed value county-wide started with the 2008 Jan. 1st assessment and reflected the decline in the market in 2007. This value was used to calculate taxes owing in 2009 according to state law. |

Abstract: This data set is a compilation of municipal boundaries for
cities and towns in Snohomish County, Washington. The boundaries
were compiled/derived from the municipal annexations dataset.
Spatial registration conforms to features in the Snohomish County
parcel data set. Information captured includes only the boundary of
each individual city or town and the full and short names for each
city or town.

Abstract: This data set is a compilation of municipal boundaries for
cities and towns in Snohomish County, Washington. The boundaries
were compiled from legal descriptions for each annexation from the
original incorporation onward. Legal descriptions were interpreted
without assumption of intent or bias from any pre-existing maps.
Spatial registration conforms to features in the Snohomish County
parcel data set. Information captured includes the boundary of each
individual annexation, long and short names for each city or town,
the effective date of the annexation, effective date of
de-annexation or repeal if applicable and the reference to the
instrument authorizing the annexation.
